Douglas A. McDonald

Douglas A. Mc Donald of Hull, age 66, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on July 22, 2016. 

Doug served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps, he was a long standing member of the VFW and Weymouth Knights of Columbus.  Close to Doug’s heart was the Ronald Mc Donald foundation and the Special Olympics.  Throughout Doug’s life he supported anyone in need with his loving and devoted ways. Doug’s occupation for many years was a lineman for Verizon Telephone.  The ocean, gardening, music and his love for animals and time with his family where his joy in life.

Beloved husband of Nancy Mc Donald, Loving Son of Barbara A. Brownell and the late Robert E. Brownell.  Loving father of Scott Mc Donald and his wife Mariel of Kingston, Lisa A. Pedersen and husband Bill, Carly Phalen and husband Mike all of Whitman, Steven Mc Donald of Boston, Kerri Dinunno and husband Nino of Cohasset, and James Mc Donald of Hull.  Devoted “Papa” to Abby, Anna, Lily, Lindsay, Amanda, Brianna, Sophia, Isabella, Brian, Brandon and Brody. Doug, loving brother of Sharon L. Adkins and her husband Gary of CA and Carlene E. Brown and her husband Peter of Weymouth. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of Life in Remembrance of Douglas at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, located at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18) opposite the South Shore Hospital. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 4-8 PM.
