Dorothy H. Anderson

Anderson, Dorothy Helen (Sears) of North Quincy died peacefully at her daughter’s home in Rockland. She was 102.

Dorothy was born in North Quincy on May 25, 1913 to the late Mary (Holland) and Ted Sears. She was the wife of the late James L. Anderson. She was the mother of James L. Anderson and his wife Maureen of Weymouth, Judith M. Watson and her husband Bill of Rockland, and the late Dorothy H. Anderson. She is the sister of Patricia Neault and her husband Ron of Warrington, VA and the late Mary Sirois of Quincy. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and dear special friends Clay and Barbara Roberts of Duxbury. 

Dorothy attended daily Mass at Sacred Heart Church and then would watch daily Mass on Catholic TV. The most important things in her life were her faith and family. The family is so grateful for the friends and family who came to visit as her health declined. She lived her life with resilience, grace, and dignity. She was truly a lady before her time and a current thinker of modern day issues.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
