Hooper, Donald Colby of Weymouth, died June 20, 2017.

Don grew up in Maine and has lived in Weymouth for many years. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Don enjoyed storytelling, playing golf and watching football, especially the New England Patriots. He was happiest when surrounded by family and always looked forward to the annual family trips to Maine. He will be dearly missed.

Beloved husband of 50 years to Dorothy (Barilaro) Hooper of Weymouth. Devoted father of Melanie A. Pyne and her companion Robert Power of Hudson, Ellyn Jara and her husband Jonathan of Quincy and the late Karen Lane and her husband Adam of Holbrook. Cherished Grampy of Nicholaus, Katie and Christopher. Loving brother of Richard, Gwen, James, Alta, Barry and the late Arrolyn, Bernard, Gordon and Murray. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Joseph Nicum, Holly Palma and Jack and Diane Egan, Alice and Ric Ostman all of Weymouth. Barbara and Kyle Angelo of Braintree.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 12:30 PM Monday prior to the burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:15 PM.
