Christine (Spring) DeMelis  of Hingham, died unexpectedly on November 7, 2018, she was 54. The beloved wife of Robert DeMelis of Hingham. Cherished mother of Stephen, Cori, Matthew and Devin DeMelis, all of Hingham. Devoted daughter of Frederick J. Jr. and Annette (Robilotto) Spring of Hingham. Sister of Marianne Tangney of Weymouth, Patrick Spring and his wife Rosanne of Milton and Frederick J. Spring, III of Weymouth. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

An always caring and compassionate person, Christine became a Neonatal nurse after graduating from Hingham High School and earning her nursing degree at Quincy College, ranking among the top of her class.  With her family, she loved to travel and embark on exciting adventures in places as far off as Australia and as close to home as Cape Cod. Entire photo books are filled with her love of Disney World and the countless trips taken with family and loved ones. She was the definition of passionate when it came to spending time with friends and family, especially from her favorite beach chair on the Cape where you could find her every day in the summer, basking in the sun, playing with the kids, and endlessly searching for a summer tan.  Christine, though never far from our hearts, leaves behind a close-knit family, many friends and colleagues, who will miss her smile and laughter.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 3-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM.
