Brian Gillis

Gillis, Brian of North Weymouth, died suddenly on November 25, 2014.

Brian was born and raised in Dorchester then moved to Quincy and graduated from North Quincy High School. He was always a hard worker working through high school for the City of Quincy, then the City of Boston, and spent some time in the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Dept but most of all enjoyed being an EMT and EMT instructor for Fallon Ambulance. Brian was very active in the community as a member of the Savin Hill Yacht Club and recently joined the Weymouth Elks and Knights of Columbus. He has lived in Weymouth for the past 25 years. Brian enjoyed fishing and being around his friends but lived for his dog Rosie. Brian made friends anywhere he went and will be missed for his generosity and kindness.

Beloved son of Irene (Gillis) McKeon and Thomas McKeon of Weymouth. Cherished Grandson of Velma Gillis (Gauthier) and Vincent of Leominster and Delia (Costello) McKeon of Dorchester. Nephew of Mary McKeon of Quincy and godson of Leo Gillis of Leominster. Brian is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial services for Brian will be private.
