Barbara was proud of her Cape Breton heritage and the MacDonnell clan. In her retirement she enjoyed many cups of tea with family and friends and taught all her grandchildren how to make “a good cup of tea.” She was quick to laugh and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cheering them on in their many activities, hearing about their day, making puzzles, and playing games. She also enjoyed her weekly Mahjong games with “the girls”. Barbara was an avid fan of all Boston team sports and could be heard cheering her teams on from just about anywhere in the house.

We would like to thank the staff at Dwyer House for their never-ending kindness and support of mom. We are grateful to her “neighbor” Martha for her loving friendship.
