Alice E. Winters

Alice E. (Lowe) Winters, a lifelong resident of Braintree, died April 25, 2024 at the age of 83.

Alice worked in food service for Braintree Schools and later for Independence Manor in Braintree for many years. In 1979, She served as the first woman president of the South Shore Antique Auto Club and was also involved in many other auto clubs, including the Old Colony Model T Club. She enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with family. Spending summers in Randolph, NH and baking with her grandchildren were a source of great joy.

She was the wife of the late Daniel E. Winters, Jr. Loving mother of Donna Heger and her husband James of Abington; Daniel Winters, III and his wife Patricia of Avon; Robert Winters and his wife Patricia of CA; Shawn Winters and his wife Tina of Abington; and the late Laura Drysdale. Proud “Nana” of Edward Kirby, Jr., Natalie Sanchez, Jason Heger, Brad Heger, Emily Mantia, Ashley Winters, Danielle Justesen, Griffin Winters, Roland Winters, Sarah Drysdale, and great grandchildren, Olivia Heger, Leia Sanchez, Nora Sanchez, Charley Heger, Linus Heger, Benjamin Mantia, and one on the way. Sister of  Lalia Nichols of NY, the late Donald Stackpole, the late Helen Olson, the late Laura Lemon, and the late Fred Gordon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 5/2/24 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth Landing on Friday at 10:30 AM. Burial in Braintree Cemetery.
