McCay, Veronica K. (Morris) “Ronnie” of Weymouth, died September 17, 2019.  

Loving mother of Tom Prendergast and his wife Katie of Marshfield, John “Jay” Prendergast and his wife Tonja of OH and Jennifer Reis and her husband Scott of East Bridgewater.  Cherished Nana Ronnie of Tommy, Kevin, Jack, Tyler, Madison, Nicholas and Victoria.  Caring sister of Patsy O’Brien of Quincy and the late James Morris.  Former wife of John “Jack” Prendergast of Marshfield and the late Al McCay. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie graduated from Gate of Heaven High School in South Boston. She was avid Boston Bruins fan and had a love for Bobby Orr.  In her earlier years Ronnie enjoyed music, dancing, reading, drawing and painting. Her main passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Ronnie will be remembered for her kind and generous personality.  She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.   

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 2-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Immediately following the wake, a Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home.   Per family request, burial will be private.
