Gilbert F. Rebello, Jr.

Gilbert F. Rebello Jr, of Hull, died May 18, 2019.  The beloved husband of the late Theresa E. (Brown) Rebello. Loving father of  Lisa Rebello and  Gilbert Rebello both of Hull. Brother of the late Lorraine Schuka, Margaret “Peggy” Maze and Patricia “Pat” Berguson,  Gil is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Born and raised in Cambridge, Gil graduated from Cambridge Ridge and Latin High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army where he proudly served his country for several years. After completing his military service, he took a position with the United States Postal Service, where he stayed for more than 40 years. He loved to fish and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas to play blackjack.  Proud to be an American, Gil remained active with many Veterans groups. A longtime member of the VFW as well as the American Legion Post in Cohasset. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered at Sunset Camp in Hull. Gil will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, uncle and dear friend. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 12 Noon in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Hingham.

Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gilbert may be made to Brockton Veterans Administration Hospital, 940 Belmont Street, Building 4, Floor 2, Ward C, a veteran’s palliative care unit,  Brockton, MA 02301, care of Christelle Dragon, Nurse Manager.
