Margaret M. Rando

Margaret M. Rando, a lifelong resident of Hingham, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on November 24, 2018. She was 95.

Born in Hingham, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Flora Rando. Margaret attended local schools and graduated from Hingham High School with the class of 1941. Following graduation, Margaret continued her education, and earned an associate’s degree from Burdette College in Boston.

Margaret’s career was spent working in the insurance industry. She served as the Assistant Treasurer at Hingham Mutual for many years. Margaret happily retired in 1983.

Margaret was a woman of faith and lived her life in accordance of the virtues of faith, hope and love. She was most proud of her family and loved being able to care for them. She raised her family with devotion and strong values that continue through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed being with her husband. They liked to travel and visit the track in Raynham. She also enjoyed crochet, ceramics and making cannoli shells at Christmas.

Margaret was a loving and selfless person. She will be missed by all the lives she touched.

Margaret was the beloved wife of Peter Rando. The two married on October 31, 1948 at St. Paul’s Church in Hingham. Together they shared 70 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Andy P. Rando and his wife Kathy of Weymouth, and Peter E. Rando and his wife Linda of Florida. She was the loving grandmother of three and the loving great grandmother of six. Margaret was preceded in death by her siblings John and Louis Rando.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, November 29th from 9 through 12 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

Her funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, November 29th at 12 PM in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Hingham.

Services will conclude with interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
