Ann R. Handrahan

HANDRAHAN, Ann R. Of Hingham, died peacefully at Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham at age 86 on February 21, 2017. She was surrounded by all seven of her children after a recent period of failing health.

Ann was the youngest child of Francis and Anna (Webb) Rogers, a family with deep roots in Hingham, MA. Ann attended the Hingham Public Schools and graduated from Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston. She worked as a bookkeeper and devoted herself to her husband, Bill, and raising her children. Her family was the center of her life and she actively engaged in supporting and guiding each child and grandchild’s interests and passions.  She was a long time member and volunteer of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and School, including CCD, PTA and many school and church fundraisers. There was never a time when she wasn’t worried more about the needs of others than herself, no matter who you were.
