Condolences to the Family of Gay Tapley Carbonneau

2024

She was a wonderful teacher. My appreciation of music started in her class. From learning about all the different types of instruments, learning to sing, and learning to appreciate all types of music she made it all interesting but most of all fun! Bless her and her family. Love Ann Marie Grant Cowing Snug Harbor student k-6 1972 - 1978

I always loved encountering Aunt Gay at Carbonneau family meetings. She combined a keen sense of observation with a tremendous wit. Her love of music and musical talent allowed her to teach into her senior years. At least she lived to an advanced age. The world needed and needs more people like her. My condolences go to Dianne, David, and Danielle.

So Sorry to hear that Aunt Gay is now with the lord. When I picture her, she was always smiling, and her positive nature was given to her children. I will keep in my heart today as her life will be celebrated. She made a difference in so many lives as a wife, mother, daughter, aunt, and teacher. God bless and take comfort in Jesus finished work by his death and resurrection.

My deepest condolences to her family. I have many great memories of growing up in the same neighborhood. Even as an adult she was always quick to smile and welcome you. May you rest in peace.

Dear Carbonneau Family, I send condolences to you and yours. I grew up in Quincy and graduated from QHS in 1978. I enjoyed singing with David with Gale Harrison and also with his Dad, Maurice Carbonneau when we had combined concerts with NQHS. Your parents offered a tremendous legacy of music education for the city of Quincy. Please know that their influence was far reaching and that you are in our prayers for your loss.

Gay and Maurice were colleagues of mine in QPS; friends at Quincy Teachers Tennis events, and countless social events. Gay played piano at every Quincy Retired Teacher luncheon. Every time I saw the Carbonneaus, the day was improved. Touching lives…
