My apologies for being so tardy, I only learned yesterday of Steve's passing. I only knew Steve for a few years in a professional manner but he was a pleasure to work with, a real professional, a truly nice guy and he will be sorely missed. TO STEVE'S FAMILY, I HEARD ABOUT STEVES PASSING BUT COULD NOT ATTEND THE SERVICES. STEVE AND I ATTENDED BOSTON TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL TOGETHER. HE WILL BE MISSED. I had the pleasure of knowing Steve for over 30 years through the law firm I worked for, and I looked forward to his weekly visits. I always enjoyed hearing about his next great adventure. I am so very sorry to hear about Stevie. I have known him for a long time. We worked together and we played golf together. He was such a great guy! He would do anything for anyone he cared about. My condolences to his family during this difficult time. He will be missed.

I’m going to miss Mr Desroche very much. When Michael and I first met each other at our work, I got to know Mr D right away and immediately knew what an incredible father and person he was. Every time I saw Mr D at Michael’s cookouts in Hingham or playing golf, I always enjoyed our talks and sharing some laughs with him. He had a remarkable personality and smile, and I’m going to miss Mr Desroche very much.

Although I didn't know Steve all that well. I don't remember Steve without a smile on his face. He always remembered my name no matter how long we hadn'tseen each other . I'm sorry for your loss.

Very sorry hearing about the passing of Steve. I attended several of the luncheons at the Granite in Quincy that he organized for us Boston Tech graduates. He was a great guy and will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

Steve & I were classmates @ Boston Technical High School many years ago. I re-connected with Steve @ our 50th Reunion in 2012. I occasionally talked with him since then & we met @ a few luncheons in Quincy. Steve was a "big guy' like me. He always had a positive attitude and a good word for everyone. He will be missed. Absolutely sitting here in shock. Just saw Steve at my father’s funeral this past November. They were great friends in this life, and I hope they’re sitting down having a laugh in the next.

I was sorry to hear that Steve had passed. I had met Steve at St Mary's when the church had a casino events. Steve and I were volunteer workers at the events. He was a fun person to be around and will be missed.

I was very fortunate that the DesRoche family were my hockey billets, several times, when I was young. When I first met "Big Steve" I was certainly intimidated by his size, however, it wasn't long before I realized how caring and generous of a man he was. He certainly left a positive impression on my life. Rest in peace

I know Steve was Mr. Saint Mary's but when I told him we needed a reader at the 7AM Mass at Saint I still remember what he said. " SURE" God Bless you Steve.

My mentor, my friend always willing to help out any way you could. We first met way back in 1978 when I first started on this survey thing , which I had no clue about, and you took me under your wing. Will never forget all the ways you helped me to further my career and I am so greatful for it. Rest in peace big guy and I will see you when my time comes.

I am heartbroken as I write this. Uncle Stevie, you were always more like big brother/father to me than an uncle. You were always there to lend a hand or to just talk. My Mom was always so proud of her ‘baby brother.’ In life, you always made sure to take care of her, and when she passed, you were our rock to lean. You helped us to handle all the arrangements and made a sad time so much more manageable. I am grateful for every party and celebration we got to spend with you, especially the annual Maria Droste Fashion Show and Christmas Eve on White Street. You lived your life to the fullest and always put family first. I am going to miss you more with each passing year. Holidays and parties just won’t be the same without you.
