Condolences to the Family of Donna (McDonough) Dwyer

2020

We would like to offer our condolences on the loss of Donna. I'm sure she was a wonderful Wife, Mother & grandmother. She was a very friendly, loving woman. I first met Donna when we moved to Great Island 6 years ago. She befriended me and was very welcoming of me to some of the activities we enjoyed together. It was so nice the way she welcomed me and "poked" at me for being the baby of the group, since I had just turned 55 when we moved here. A year ago when I had a heart attack & open heart surgery she was very encouraging telling me to keep pushing through, "your young enough you will be just fine". I was very sad to hear of her passing and it has affected me quite a bit which I think speaks volumes about the wonderful woman She was. We spoke often about our children & grandchildren and She spoke of her grandchildren and family often. My mother told me as a child that when someone dies God creates a new star in their honor and we can always look to the sky and find that star and know that they are in Heaven watching. That we can speak within our hearts and know they are listening. I hope that you all can find some peace & comfort and find Donna's star and know that she is watching from above. I actually told Donna that story after someone had passed here and she thought it was a wonderful. I hope you can find that star and pray you all find some comfort and joy in all the memories you have shared. God Bless.

Dear Michael and Family - You are in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. I have many wonderful memories of Donna and the whole McDonough family after moving to Quincy many years ago. I will never forget the beautiful time that we had in Chatham on our 4 day get-a-way. Donna's spirit and fun-loving ways will be forever in everyone's mind who knew her and experienced her joy of life. May God bless Donna and bestow on all who knew and loved her great memories to bring comfort and healing in days to come. Love and Peace to all of you, Ruthie Dean

I met Donna at the Great Island Clubhouse a few years ago and got to know her in several exercise classes and in book club. She was a wonderful warm hearted, outgoing woman who clearly adored her husband, children and grandchildren. I was shocked to hear about her passing. I will miss her smile, friendship, loving spirit and presence in our community. My thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.
