My friend of more than 50 years, I am truly going to miss you. We grew up in Dorchester and attended school together and even worked together for a while. When I moved to Hull, you came a year later because you loved the beach so much! So many funny and happy memories. My heartfelt condolences to your family and know that she is in God's hands now.

My most sincere condolences to the Lane family. Bernie was such a dear friend to my mother, Rita McNamee, and to our family. Bernie was one of the most kind and authentic individuals I ever knew as I grew up in Hull. My thoughts are with the Lane family.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Bernie was a special person. Truly one of a kind. Her kindness and grace made everyone love her. We are so sorry and send our love to you all. One of my favorite Bernie memories: There was a certain amount of horror in the family when we did not baptize our first born. She wasn’t having it! She baptized David in the kitchen! Donna, was so relieved! Thank you, Bernie, for all your care and love. Our lives were better because of you.
