Condolences to the Family of Anne Marie (Daly) McBride

2020

To Joanne, Patti, Kathy, Donna & Noreen. It was with great sadness that cousin Richie told me of Anne Marie's passing. It was very peaceful for her but obviously very sudden on the family. I am writing to convey my sincere condolences to all the family at this sad time. I watched Anne Marie's funeral service online and was brought to tears with the music and the respect and dignity of it all. I remember Anne Marie very well when she was hale and hearty. I remember playing lots of golf with your Dad Neil but never got to play with Anne Marie but I know she was a great golfer and all round sportswoman. I visited her once on my last trip to Boston in her Nursing Home but she did not know me but was a lovely gracious lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time in your lives. Love to you all from your Irish cousin Miriam.

I was very sad to hear of your lovely mother's death, The last few years were difficult for all of you, but your Dad is very delighted to have his Ann Marie with him in heaven. My cousin Neil and I were close classmates at St. Ann's and Cathedral High. I always fondly remember their wedding because I had gotten engaged the evening before and was delighted to share my excitement with our large extended family. Ann Marie and Neil were blessed with a wonderful family and many years of happiness. God bless.

One of my favorite memories of your Mom is her arriving at Liberty Lagoon on the 4th of July with your dad. She and your dad always lit up like Christmas trees; they were so happy to spend time with all of you. On this one day, they showed up with hot "drummies" from Roche Bros. All of the kids were thrilled as your parents walked around the pool making sure everyone, including the adults, got one. Your Mom and Dad treasured simple moments - time spent with those they love. And they made sure that everyone in their family knew how much they were loved. They knew what was important - showing love in big and little ways - and they passed that on to all of you.

Joanne and family, One of the things that I have admired most, over the decades of working with you, is seeing way that your family so obviously comes together and supports one another during good times and bad. That is a true testament to the mothering and fathering that your beautiful parents did for you. Praying that fond memories comfort each of you during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. Mrs. McBride was the best Softball Coach I ever had and taught me so much about the game and good sportsmanship. I have such fun and wonderful memories of those years at St. Joseph’s and the ball field at ForeRiver. My heart and prayers go out to all of your family at this sad time. 🙏❤️
