I am so saddened to learn of Jimmy’s passing. I worked with him at Weymouth Savings Bank/South Shore Savings Bank starting in 1995 until 2000. Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. He is gone too soon, and I wish you all comfort in the memories you have with him. My Condolences, Mary Thoms

Sending sincere condolences from a customer who Jimmy took a chance on when we were just starting out years ago. Never forgot his kindness as we wouldn’t have succeeded in business if he did not take a chance on us. He helped our company grow and was always there to answer a question or offer advice. It is a shame there are not more people like him in business. He will be missed not just as a banker but as a kind person. Jim McGrath- APRO ROOTER

I am so sad to learn that the brightly burning light that is James is now extinguished. I was a classmate of his at the National School of Banking, and for three years we argued about North Shore (me) vs. South Shore, battled on the Fairfield University basketball court with our close classmates after a long day, helped each other through assignments and certainly enjoyed many a drink together!! I lost a few dollars to his poker playing prowess while there as well!! After graduation, it was always great to talk with him on the phone, share some new way of generating business or just meet in Boston for a drink or two and recall our school days. He loved his family, for sure, and I send you all strength for getting through these days ahead. Please know that even the North Shore is a bit dimmer now that he is gone. God bless.
