So sorry to hear about your Dad Shawn and am sure you will all miss him while being grateful for the time you had together with "grandpa" and father, father in law. I did not know your Dad but I wanted you to know I recognize how hard these times can be.

To The Evans Family, May Bob rest in paradise. I was blessed when my cousin Regina married into the Evans family, the entire Evans family is a loving, warm, nurturing, welcoming, and beautiful family. No matter who you were, where you were, what function it was, or who was around if you saw Bob, or any member of the Evans family for that matter, you knew that you had a friend and person that you could talk with who would truly listen to you, and genuinely care about what you had to say, you were comfortable in the fact that you were welcome. I spent many a holiday with the Bob and his family and I always looked forward to seeing him. When God made Bob, he broke the mold, there will never, ever be another man that comes close to Bob Evans. His two sons Shawn and Brian are very much like their father in their loving and nurturing ways, but no one could ever fill the shoes of Bob, he was one of a kind, he was filled with so much goodness and it reflected in the way he lived his life and the way he treated everyone he met. Bob’s passing will leave a tremendous hole in everyone’s heart, but I am sure his family will make sure that his memory lives on through all the wonderful times that they had and the great stories that they will tell to keep that light he had inside of him shining brightly forever. Karen, Shawn, Brian, and families, I am so sorry for the huge loss that you are all going through, I know that there is nothing that I can say or do to stop the pain that you are all experiencing, if I had a magic wand that I could use to take it all away I certainly would use it. I will really miss seeing his familiar and welcoming face and smile at all the happy, and sometimes sad family gatherings that we have. I hope that all the loving, and happy memories that everyone will be reminiscing about over the next few days will help take some of the pain you are experiencing away and knowing that he is now pain free an playing 18 or 27 holes in heaven helps out a little. He is now with all those that we have lost before him, and I am sure he is letting them know how much they were loved and missed by everyone that loved them. If there is anything that I can do please just let me know and if it is within my power I will do whatever it is that you need. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. You all have one more guardian angel that is going to be with you everyday!!! Bob, you truly will be missed and it was such an honor knowing you and having you as a part of my extended family, may you soar with the angels and rest in paradise!!!!! With Love and Honor, Anne Marie Long
