I can't describe the sadness that I felt when I first heard of Karl's passing. My heart breaks for Maddie and all of Karl & Maddie's kids and grandkids. Please know that your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. I've known Karl for 30 years and I'll tell you something...I'm jealous of the people who got to spend more time with him. Whenever I spent time with him I always left wanting more. He could take something as mundane as changing a light bulb...turn it into a 30 minute story and you would be in tears laughing at the end. Karl was one of the most funny and genuine people I've ever met and I will certainly miss our conversations and his stories. Keep a seat warm and a beer cold for me at he bar Karl. Disbelief in just hearing today of Karl's sudden passing. Karl was a great fiend whom I have known for sixty years. I and my family send our sincere sympathies to Maddie and the rest of the Heine family.He will be greatly missed by myself and the rest of the guys he grew up with in Southie and all others who knew him.

Nancy and I are still in shock after hearing of Karl's passing. There are memories going back close to 60 years of knowing Karl and his family that will never be forgotten. Karl was always been the center of attraction and entertainment wherever he went and brought a smile to everyone's face. He will be missed by everyone who has ever met him. R.I.P. Karl.
