Condolences to the Family of William J. Armstrong

2018

Our deepest sympathy to Janine and the Armstrong family at the passing of Bill, a member, like myself, of the Edison Nuclear family at Pilgrim. I grew up with Bill and his brother Jack in Dorchester. He was a St. Peter's Sanctuary Choir choral member with me in the mid-forties. May he rest in peace in the hands of the angels.

My sincere condolences to the Armstrong family. I had the distinct privilege of knowing and working with Bill for many years. Bill was an pleasure to work with. His presence upon entering a room was astonishing. He absolutely demanded respect and deservedly so. What an extremely talented, intelligent and personable man. His demeanor was also delightful. I asked him to be a speaker at a cub scout meeting years ago. He obliged and astounded the boys. I, jokingly called him dad. He would laugh so hard when I would do that. So sad that I cannot attend. I'll still miss him even though I haven't seen or spoken to him in many, many years. Stand down Marine, your watch is over. Respectfully, Bob

To the family of Bill Armstrong - You don’t know me, but I certainly had the pleasure to know Bill. We used to play racquetball together many years ago at Braintree Hill Office Park. We’d play one on one on one with my brother-on-law Tom. Bill was tough to beat because he was a lefty. We had many good times together. I really miss those good old days. My condolences to you all . Please know that Bill was well liked and respected as I’m sure you know. Kindest Regards Bob Johnson
