Condolences

Condolences to the Family of Guy L. Steele, Sr.

2018

I always learned many things from your words whenever we met on the ground. Various good memories of you with Lo. Old Boston house, pink house, we welcomed to Nagano Winter Olympic, and at their houses after, ... I follow your advice, "work/walk humbly, seeking justice." Your smile face and talking/preaching style to others are good, your trumpet good, your canoeing good... See you then, my father in the US.

Many years ago when I was a teacher at Driscoll School I asked Guy to speak to my husband at the Deaconess. He was about to have open heart surgery and was afraid he wouldn’t survive. Guy spoke to him and completely changed his attitude so he could face the surgery with a positive frame of mind. My beloved husband Charlie passed away a few weeks ago at age 90. I thank Nalora and Guy for the kindness they showed us during that difficult time in our lives. My heart goes out to you Nalora and family.

Lo, I am so sorry for your great loss. Guy was a genuine gentleman, scholar and all round fabulous person. We enjoyed having him preach at our church and with you as our organist you were the perfect duo. Words cannot express the the sorrow we feel for you and your family. Love and prayers.

To my birthday partner, a wonderful man, who loved a good joke. Rest in peace, my friend. Love, Joan McGrath
