Condolences to the Family of Henry J. Barone

2017

Dear Barone family, Chris joins me in extending our deepest sympathy and sincere sorrow on the death of your dear Dad. He was my Bates School Principal and came to our wedding! I have a wonderful photo of your parents in my wedding album. I saved a note your mother sent me when Chris and I became engaged. We saw Hank on Chronicle a few years ago and enjoyed the piece about the Veterans being flown to Washington, D.C. and being honored. We thank him for his military service to our country training bombardiers. We thank him for his outstanding career in education and his many years of dedication and devotion to children. I recall the trip to the Red Sox game as a sixth grader was also a salute to being a sixth grade safety patrol. The relationship extended beyond my family and to my Aunt Milly and Uncle Paul Morgan and their children on Beaver Dam Rd. Your parents found my uncle in a diabetic coma and saved his life!! Hank and Fred Gorgone , my father in law were not only colleagues but good friends for many years. I intend to share this sad news with the Gorgones and Morgan cousins. It has been many years since I last saw you Faith and Gil but I remember all the Morgan Christenings with new babies and you were there at my cousin's birthday parties too! Hank had a long and fulfilled life and has gone to God and is with your Mom which is what we want for those we love. With prayerful sympathy, Marcia McCann Gorgone
