Condolences to the Family of Yvonne E. Gillis

2017

Yvonne was my first boss at Gillette back in 1975. She was always fair with all of us but what made her special was that she truly cared about the personal lives of all her employees. I have been at Gillette for almost 45 years and I have never worked for more decent kind person than Yvonne. And she also made the best Christmas cookies I've ever had!!!

Yvonne was so welcoming to my late mother upon her arrival at Allerton House several years ago. It was a pleasure getting to know Yvonne and marveling at her artistic talents. My condolences to all.

I met Miss Yvonne, (as we called her) at my Monday morning "intergenerational playgroups" at Allerton House. I would bring preschoolers and we would read, sing and do crafts together. Miss Yvonne was a very special woman and she brought love, joy and much historic knowledge to every playgroup. Her artistic talents were beyond compare! I am thankful for her friendship! To her family: I pray that the memories she has left with you with will bring joy to your heart, as I am sure the doors of Heaven flew open for this Amazing woman of God!

First, I am sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom several years ago and still think of her daily. I am wondering if this lady is the mother of Madeline Gillis. We were friends in high school and I used to pick her up for work. Every time I drive down her street I think of her. If this is her Mom, I would love to hear from her. My email address is above.
