While the world lost a terrific soul in Timmy J on Sunday, my heart certainly goes out to Leslie, Lana, and Callum. Timmy J was a strong guiding light in my life during my days at RPI and beyond. He always seemed to be able to fit in to any situation...he could be sarcastic and funny, intelligent and creative, or Timmy J could just be a great friend and listen. I am truly happy for the times that I did get to be in his presence and I absolutely regret not making more of them happen.

Way back in the day I worked with Tim on IE and MSN and even though it feels like a lifetime ago I can clearly remember that Tim made everyone feel valued and that their contributions mattered. He was one of those amazing people who was smart, kind,generous and inclusive. We kept in touch sporadically over FB after I left MSFT and he moved back east and it was great to see how his life blossomed with his beautiful family. My heart breaks for this devastating loss and my deepest condolences to his wonderful family.

Sending prayers to Tim's family, from Virginia. Tim volunteered with his Mom, me, and others at the annual Aids/HIV Thanksgiving dinner in Boston at a time when volunteers were hard to enlist due to ignorance about those conditions. I wil never forget that level of selflessness, and the spirit of this special person. May he rest in eternal peace, and may his spirit live on through his beautiful children.
