Condolences to the Family of Lawrence T. “Larry” O’Connor

2016

It was truly a privilege to know and care for Larry. His optimism and kindness were evident, every single day. His gift to me, a painting of his sailboat on a beautiful sea with gentle waves, white clouds and a bright blue sky, is one of my most precious possessions. He always, always asked how I was doing, before I could ask him how he was doing. I will miss him. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Larry's family. Larry We love you,I met you 35 years ago through Sue who grew up with you in Rock Island Cove. Best friends forever. We are all one of a kind, but Larry was unique.Creative,a genius on restoration of antique furniture and cast iron stoves.Who knew he was such a wonderful painter also! Many hours in his shop talking and laughing. No pretense ever.Larry was Larry.Never rushed for time,"He used patience as a pace"!!!.Boating was a favorite summer adventure.Rainsford Island we will see you there. We always enjoyed Diane and Larry at many parties over time.Best friends don't pass away, they come to light in our memory. God Bless You,We will miss you.Your friends,Sue and Pete

Our tears flow for Larry, the very best of friends, a truly good man whose heart stopped beating much too soon. We are blessed to have had Larry touch our lives in so many ways...You are no longer here with us Larry but your gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. May you rest in eternal peace and quiet...Di, we are so sorry. We'll get there, one day at a time.
