Condolences to the Family of John T. “Jack” O’Connor

2015

It was a blessing to have had a lifetime of friendship with our cousin, Jack O'connor. Dating back to the 1940s, it was always a plus to have his presence in the multitude of self organized sports and other activities that many of us East Weymouth boys enjoyed together. Jack went on to serve and sustain foot and leg injuries during the Korean War. He persevered through months of recovery and went on to a long career in Government service. Jack will be remembered for his ready smile, unpretentious friendly way and good character. Our prayers are with Eleanor, his wonderful spouse of six decades, his children and extended family.

Mrs. O'Connor, Amy, Jackie, David, Patty, Charlene, and family; I am SO very sorry for your loss! Jack was such a great guy! A true "Man's man" and a total gentleman. I have such fond memories of him. I loved his smile and the way he always cracked me up with his jokes and wise-cracks. His "No, I didn't get my hair cut. I got my ears lowered." quip became a tradition in my family years ago..when my lil guy got his first hair cut. He was so special! Please know you are in my thoughts & prayers. Much Love to you All.
