Condolences to the Family of Edward D. Kingsbury

2015

I was so sad to hear of Eddies passing. I've known him a long time, but unfortunately, was not that close the last few years. He was a great guy. I'll remember his humor-he was so funny in a very dry sort of way. My thoughts are with all the family. RIP Eddie-you will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ed. He was a nice, thoughtful man. I worked with him for 13 years at Pine Street Inn. Ed had the occasion to meet my dog, Petey, when he was a little puppy. Ed fell in love with him. He would randomly call me to ask me how Petey was doing and if I would bring him around so he could see him again. Unfortunately, I did not have that chance. I am sending sincere condolences to his family and friends. Take Care.

I worked with Ed for over 15 years at the Anchor Inn program; so many conversations but we always spoke on the up bringing of children in today's society and compared it to our up bringing, as Ed would say (back in the day, when we were kids, our parents didn't play that!) he will truly be missed. Condolences to the family.

My deepest sympathies to all of Ed’s relatives on earth which has lost one of the truly “good guys”. Heaven on the other hand is an even happier place with Ed’s arrival. I can imagine Ed being picked up at the gate by John (in his white Bentley taxi – a bit over-the-top, but everything is in heaven). Bob is there too with some hand tailored clothes for Ed. There is a quick drive (there is no traffic in heaven) to Sue’s Breakfast Café. The aroma of coffee (a heavenly blend called “Saint Joe”) greets Ed and owner Sue guides him to a large table in “King’s corner” where the brothers meet every morning. Carole is also there (the lively conversations need some female perspective). Ed is served poached eggs on corned beef hash with white bread toast, fresh squeezed OJ and of course an oversized mug of St Joe (which is unsurprisingly similar to Dunkin Donuts). Ed knew for sure he really was in heaven. Dick is providing some background music on his guitar. Bill has already setup Ed on the angel.com network. Jim arrived after his early morning ride on his motorcycle (his arm back to 100%). This reunion party is going to extend way past breakfast so Joe made an 8 foot Italian sub for lunch. Between the breakfast meetings, his work at the VA and the daily prayer for lost souls on earth (of which I am one), Ed is back in the saddle and heaven is better for it.
