Even though I only knew Bart for a short amount of time I felt a connection and it was a joy to know and become friends with a true mariner. From me, Joe

Bart was one of the finest mariners, friends, and human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Truly a class act.

I'll always remember the when Bart would ride the a Aurora up to Rowes Wharf with me never a bad word to say about anyone (even when I baited him). We laughed and always had good conversation. I'll miss him starting my day on a positive note. He was a good role model for us all in how he lived his life.

Dear Monique, Cam and Ryan, It is with such sadness that we heard of Bart's passing. Bart's smile and hearty laughter could induce the same in others. I loved his quick whit and sarcastic nature. As far as Boston Harbor narrations go, Bart's was by far the best. His diligently research allowed him to relay his knowledge with the ease of an experienced teacher. I used to love to accompany a trip just hear him talk and watch him work the "room". A large hole has been left in the harbor. He will truly be missed. We are so sorry.
