Condolences to the Family of Walter O. Marquis

2014

Dear Mrs. Marquis, Walter, Paul, David, Jim, and Peter, I am so sad to hear that Mr. Marquis passed. I have many fond memories of Mr. Marquis and the Marquis family from growing up on Mandalay Rd. He raised 5 stellar men and was to me the consumate husband and family man. I enjoyed spending time with Peter and the family, hanging out in the pool, listening to the old Juke Box in the basement, and talking with Mr. Marquis. I'll never forget the sweet aroma of the cigars wafting about. You will be missed sir, thank you for your service to our country and for being a role model to so many. Mike A., Cypress, TX.

I was very sad to see that Mr. Marquis had passed away. I did not see the obituary until today 8-4-2014 and immediately called my dad Jim Kelley. Jim worked with Walter for many years and was deeply saddened to hear of this. I remember my dad speaking of him fondly on many occasions throughout their years of working together. He was well liked and respected at the Registry of Motor Vehicles. Our deepest sympathy is with his family at this difficult time.

Mr. Marquis was a gentleman who I saw as a family man and leader. I was scared he might repremand me for doing something wrong, but I knew as a child he was the boss of his family and his job. Some one I looked up to as a role model. Peace be with the Marquis family
