So sorry to hear of my dear friend and classmate.Graduating in 1955 we went our separate ways but always came back to the Gate to celebrate our reunions of which she was the instigator and treasurer. Recently we met for monthly lunches at Florian Hall till Covid called an end for us girls. Nancy’s last duty was to have a paver at Gate of Heaven “Thanks for the memories” Class of 1955. Sorry for your loss Lincoln family. Dr. LIncoln clearly led a long and fruitful life and left a lasting legacy. Although I never met him, from his picture and the twinkle in his eye, I strongly suspect the apple does not fall far from the tree. I am sorry to hear about this. I was just made aware of his passing. Andy was excellent to deal with as he and I worked closely over the years when Moderna joined ThermoFisher as a customer. We spent endless hours setting up several different items to be stored and labeled at our facility. Always had a positive attitude about everything that was going on and I believe that is one of the biggest things we had in common and helped us both in getting things accomplished. Dear family of Judy. Your mom and I were grammar school friends! My family moved away in 7th grade and I never contacted with her again. We used to walk home together from Daniel Webster school. I was in her family home many times. When she was sick with scarlet fever I was the only one who could bring her school work as I had previously had scarlet fever. I remember the 2 kitchens in that house. Judy told me the basement kitchen was the summer kitchen. I remember Gail sitting in her high chair. I remember the day her dear mother died. Oh so young!! She was very pretty as was Judy. I so wish we were able to keep in touch but things were so different when we were kids. I send my condolences to all of you. I know your pain. I lost my husband of 63 years last May 28th. My heart is broken. Your dear mom is added to my nightly prays and daily Masses.

I met Connie on my very first day of being a nurse, and knew her for the nest 30 yrs of my career. She was a caring, nurturing ER nurse who always gave her best to the patients. I will never forget her and all the years after she retired, she would frequently stop in the ER and check on everyone which was always such a treat for us to chat. Her faith and positive attitude is something I will remember always. Thank you for showing me the way to be a nurse. Rest in peace Connie.

My wife Marge and I were very saddened to hear of Joan’s death. I feel like I have known her all my life. She was my sister Carol Lee’s best friend, and in many ways was a part of our family. She was always around, especially during holidays helping to spread good cheer. Every summer she welcomed my family to her summer cottage on Goose Pond in Shapleigh, Maine. They were good days with a lot of happy memories. I remember the choir on Sundays at the Houghs Neck Congregational Church. She had a wonderful singing voice. There is probably not enough space here to describe and thank her for the loving care and help she gave to my sister who was battling Parkinson’s disease. Day and night she was always there to help. There are not too many people willing to devote so much of their time to care for another. Joan was fortunate to have loving nieces and nephews to help during her challenging last years. Kevin is one of my two best friends in 59 years of life. He passed away on my birthday :-( We met in 1995 and were inseparable for years. We were drinking buddies and we were brothers. He will certainly be missed. Joe was a wonderful teacher and an extraordinary principal. He was always most supportive of his teachers at the Hansen School in Canton. Joe was a good friend to all of us and we were most fortunate to work with him.

TO Sarah’s NY family and friends Thank you for sharing Sarah with us! She was such a part of our family here in Boston We met through her work at the South Boston Animal hospital when we got our Senior Rescue Linus. Sarah wa a top notch Vet Tech but we became closer and we welcomed to our family. Loved it when she cat sat and would call us in the morning and say I got the pastries from Josephs put the coffee on. Being on Facebook was fun especially Sweetie camping!! We enjoyed have Murph over and before she got Murph she was texting us photos of him. Sarah and I shared such a love for the whales and whenever I saw something with a whale on it - I just had to get it for Sarah - I joked about the Mango playing with the large whale ornament on the Christmas tree. Sarah had her problems and issues and we prayed for her - we were so sad to hear she passed away - she was part of our extended family of young adults who we called “our adopteds”. Please accept our heartfelt condolences - we never had the address in Rochester to send a card and letter to you as well. All of us will find closure of our dear Sarah’s passing and in time the pain will go away God Bless God Bless

I'm going to miss Sarah so much. I worked with her at VCA Hanson, but we remained good friends even after she moved on to another hospital. We went on whale watches together. She would get so emotional just seeing the whales, I truly believe she will be able to get an up close view of the whales now from up above. Sarah - your Boston Mama is heartbroken - Your love of animals was amazing and our love for the whales ran deep. Loved it when you working in Cambridge and said MAMA it is Vet Tech week can you whip me some things - and TADA you had lots of things and that is when I discovered macaroons were your favorite cookie that I made. Loved when we had Murph for the weekend so you could go to a football game - we would take him for a walk and everyone did a double take because he was SOOOOO TINY and we always had BIG dogs. Loved our time in the back yards of both houses and when we would have High tea at my house with Lindsay. You struggled through many things sweetie and the last few years has been very tough. There are so many memories. I met Sarah when she was 4 years old. She had a strong spirit from the start. She amazed me with her words from our first meeting. She loved Garfield and her ETs (TTs). She was brilliant at a young age. We played word association when she was 5. Her mother said the word "stupid" Sarah said "Brainless". I can remember when she was around 7 or 8, she performed a dance routine to New Kids on the Block with her two friends that lived up the street on Morgan Pkwy. I spent time with her when she lived in Florida. This is one of my favorite memories. We went on a paddle boat. We saw an alligator. I was turning to move toward it. She grabbed the handle to turn away from it. The steering disconnected. We were stuck there until we could figure out how to hook it back up. Her reaction was hilarious. I remember being at her house watching her favorite musical (Rent). There are too many stories to tell. Sarah had a gift when it came to helping animals. There is no doubt that Sweetie is back in her arms. She gives new meaning to all dogs go to heaven. I have no doubt she will be helping with their transition. Sarah had a kind sweet side to her. She truly loved her family, friends, and fur babies. There is no doubt her spirit will live on in everyone who loved her. I believe her grandma (Stephie, AKA Stella) was there to embrace her. She was not afraid. She is at peace. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who loved her. She no doubt felt everyone's love.

I am so sorry I found this obituarie too late, but I would like to say that Mrs Minton my crossing guard was lovely sweet and kind. She always had a smile on her face she always had something wonderful to say and she was so good to all of us children especially me. She was one of the very few people that I looked forward to seeing to every morning when I crossed Dorchester Ave to go to school. She was absolutely a wonderful loving kind woman that I don't think got enough credit. I loved to see her in her uniform because she was sweet and kind and motherly but she still had that uniform on and that made her very strong to me. She was one of the people I looked up to and wanted to be she was an excellent role model! I am 57 years old and I still remember her and her beautiful face and her beautiful smile after all of these years she was absolutely amazing and if I had known she had passed away I would have driven all of the miles it took to attend a funeral. But I just found it now and I'm sorry. I cannot say enough things about this wonderful woman! She and my mother were very friendly she not only made me feel good she made my mother feel good she was just an amazing woman.

I’m terribly sorry to hear about your loss. Mr. Ventura was a sweet, funny man. My favorite memory was when he laughed at their dog attacking me as I tried to leave the house. I spoke with Jan I though I was in heaven , there is no where else any of you could be.. I was shocked to read about Gerards passing. I was reading an obituary for my sons friends dad who passed and came across the name of Gerard Connors. It was a familiar name to me and I was so hoping it wasn't who I thought. Unfortunately it was. The world has lost another wonderful man. I have lost my godfather. I worked with Lai Wah at Digital and then at Intel. She was a respected colleague and a really wonderful person. I always looked forward to seeing her in the mornings, walking to the cafe, bouncing on the tips of her toes, as she smiled and said hello. It's the little things we remember. It is with great sadness in my heart that I learn of Lai-Wah's passing. It was a privilege and an honor to have had the opportunity to both work with, and learn much from her, while we worked together with her talented team, in Massachusetts. It is true that she held herself, and those who work with her, to high standards. She was always a woman of her word when it came to honoring commitments made. But at the same time, it is also true that she was approachable, with great compassion for those who worked for her. For this, she gained a loyal following as both a good manager, and as a good person. For me, I always appreciated the effort she made to make me feel welcome, and part of the team during my visits. Fond memories will include the time we spent together drinking tea in the cafeteria, the times laughing together at team outings she organized, and her happy reaction when she returned from sabbatical to find her work cube decorated by her team as a traditional welcome back present. To the family of Lai-Wah, please know she made a positive, lasting impression in my life. Along with others, we will forever miss her. We are so sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear the news of Lai-Wah's passing. Lai-Wah hired me into Intel almost 25 years ago. She was a kind, smart, hardworking, straight shooter. So she was awesome to work for and with. My heart breaks thinking that she retired not too long ago, after working so hard for so long balancing the demands of being a wife, a mother and a highly valued full time employee. I don't know how she was able to do it all. My wife, who also knew and loved Lai-Wah, and I send our sincerest condolences.

I've known Gerard since I was a teenager. We hung out at Harry Newcomb's house along with Wayne Clouse (Mousie) and a few other of the neighbors. He was always a gentleman and a just a super nice guy. His Mom was the lunch lady at Lincoln School, anybody who went there knew her. He bought an MG, how he fit into that car was beyond my thinking! But he was proud of that car! His kindness to others certainly will be missed by many. RIP old friend. Harry and Mousie have welcomed you into their heavenly neighborhood, where the good guys are.

My sincere condolences to the entire Karo family. I just found out about John's passing and I'm so sorry I missed the services! I didn't have the opportunity to meet John's extended family, which I regret. I knew John for over 50 years, 1st meeting him in my teens on the baseball field, me as the player and John as the umpire. We got to know each other better and better as the years went by. I grew up in Weymouth, played a lot of baseball (and other sports) locally, so I had the pleasure of seeing John on a regular basis. (starting with Weymouth Legion, Weymouth High School, Massasoit CC and Weymouth Town Team / Elks). John was one of the best sports officials I ever had the good fortune to be around. And one of the best baseball umpires I ever had the pleasure of working with (while pitching (a lot!)) and playing in the field / hitting. Unbelievably organized, on EVERY aspect of the game at all times, impeccably dressed and a personality like no one else. He commanded (mutual) respect “between the lines” and when the game was over was never too busy to shoot the breeze or review aspects of the just-played game. You have no idea (or maybe you do) how many athletes he had a positive effect on. John was definitely the standard by which we athletes measured the abilities of game officials. My sports interactions ended with John around 1984 (when I "retired" from local sports), but happily, I was able to rekindle our friendship at Widows Walk when John started working there. It was great getting to spend time with him there and yes, did we talk about sports and everything else. We were probably "holding up play" with the golf groups behind us, but neither of us cared. We (just) enjoyed each other's company. I'll truly miss him and I was a better ballplayer (and human being) for knowing him. When I think about John, I will smile and share some of the great sports-field stories from our pasts. There will always be plenty of laughs, as there were when we got together. He will be MISSED! I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of my dear friend, Bobby Gordon. I was appointed to the Boston Fire Department (Alarm Division) on June 27, 1979 on a Wednesday morning. When I arrived I parked in the wrong parking lot. It was Bob Gordon, who came out to my car and said, I quote you must be a new guy, you cannot park in this lot you will have to move to the second lot. My first day, on my long career, with the Boston Fire Department Family. Bobby was the kindest, most gentle guy, I have ever met. I was lucky enough to work with him from 1979-1982, and he showed me a few tricks of the trade. I will be forever grateful in knowing him and his beloved family. You are home now with your Beautiful Natalie. May the Dear Lord Bless your kind soul May you Rest in Eternal Peace God bless, my good friend, absolute pleasure knowing you.

Your dad was always so great to have around. He was always kind and welcoming. I can’t imagine your sorrow. Sending so much love and peace.

Gerry was a GREAT MAN! He was and always will be my dearest friend and confidant, from the beaches of Houghs Neck, to my garden, Thanksgiving dinner and the pews of PineTree Church in Northern Maine. He was very proud of two very important things that he held close to his heart. His military service during Vietnam and his son Shawn, his eyes would light up with raw passion when he spoke of them. I am so grateful and blessed that he shared his life with me. I'm sure he is sitting with Sharon now, cuddling Snowball on his lap. I will love him forever......

I knew John from football and officiating and watching him umpire baseball when my son played. He was a treat to work with and watch. The kids and coaches loved him. He was the best of the best.

Angelina you have lost your best friend, your lover, husband, father to your children, your parenting partner, your sense of stability, and your vision of your families horizon. Even your purpose for living has been shaken, leaving you alone to find meaning and relief from your grief. You worry whether or not your children will find peace from the loss of their father and why did such a wonderful young man have to die in the prime of life, leaving the family he loved without him. There are too many questions and too few answers to bring you any sense of calm. It is OK to be angry with GOD. GOD can handle your anger. Try not to be alone for long periods of time. You have been blessed with a loving family. Look to them for support. This will help with the loneliness but it alone is not the cure. Pray for help and remember there are two beautiful young children that will need to see you as being human and grieving. There is no compassion without knowing pain first. While the beauty of healing comes from caring for others who have only recently found themselves on the path of grief. I pray that you will come to remember how you loved and were loved by Andy and that your suffering is evidence of that love. About fifty years ago, some of my friends at B.C. introduced me to Cape Cod and specifically Dennisport. My first experiences at the Cape were based in a cottage on South Village Road, where Anne, Judy, Donna and Joanie would host as many people as could fit on the floor when it was time for bed. I will always remember Anne for that time and the wonderful weekends we all enjoyed. As the years went on, I only saw Anne occasionally , but each time I did it was such a fun get together and it was if we had seen each other the day before. I trust God needed her in heaven for some reason to take her so young..perhaps he needed a good paralegal. I hope the family finds some solace in the wonderful memories Ann created for all those around her. God bless !

Andy was a competitive athlete and coach who raised the level of everybody's game. He had his team winning the division and going deep in the playoffs most every year. What is amazing about that is, he let everyone play- regardless of their ability, he placed everyone who showed up in the line up. We usually won and always had fun. Some of my best memories are playing ball for Andy. And he was just as kind as he was competitive. He hosted a corporate night at the Celtics and spent the whole time asking people what they wanted to eat or drink and served them. It reminds me of what Jesus said in Mt. 23:11 "the greatest among you will be your servant" That was Andy- a giver, a competitor, and kind soul. I'm blessed to have become his friend and will cherish those memories.

I am so sad to hear of Anne’s passing. I have known Anne for almost her whole time with Mintz. Anne was always smiling and I always enjoyed our chats. She will be missed by many. My condolences to her family.

I just learned of Dana’s passing and regret not knowing only in that I didn’t have a chance to say to you that your father was one of the greats at Northeastern University. I met him when he brought a crew to my office to take apart a radiator into which I dropped my engagement ring. It's hard to know what to say at this point, but we can say we've never seen Ken without a smile on his face and we will always remember him that way. The pain and grief is being felt by those who loved him. His pain is now gone and in time, those who loved him will smile when they think of him.

I knew you for maybe 6 months, but you hired me for a job that gave me so much joy. You took a chance on hiring a 58 year old guy as a soccer coach. Someone who barely played the game. You saw something in me. You saw my potential, where I only saw limitations and excuses. The last time I spoke to you, I was in the middle of what would be a tremendous life change. My mother passed away in July. In our last text exchange you said that as long as you were working at Super Soccer Stars, there would always be a place for me. I got back to New York in September, after burying my mother. I didn't contact you right away, I needed time to breathe and also recover from an injury. When I tried calling or texting you, there was no response. I couldn't make the time to go to the office. I figured you had left for another job. It was in January that I decided once again to see if I could get your contact information. I googled your name and up comes your obituary. I thought it was some kind of freaking joke. I couldn't believe it. You were such a force. Such a motivating force. It's a much sadder place without your smile. I will always remember you because you took a chance on me. You believed in me. I'm so grateful to have known you. Rest in peace my brother.

My sincere condolences to to Bob’s family. I was very saddened to learn of his passing. I met Bob when I worked at the Allerton House several years ago and we remained pen-pals and friends. I will never forget how Bob got many of the residents together to send me a lovely card after I was in a car crash. I was very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I met Bob when my Mom, Mary Dillon, was a resident at the Allerton House. In fact, the first time I met him I gave him a ride home from the Post Office after chatting with him in the parking lot and discovering he lived in the same place as my Mom. Bob was so with it. He popped out his phone and called “The Ride” to cancel his ride home and hopped right in my car. Bob ended up being a great friend to my Mom, and in turn to me. I looked forward to visiting and having great conversations with him. He was so interesting! My Mom has moved to a new home so it’s been a while since I had the pleasure of seeing Bob. You, his family, will be in my prayers in the coming days. I’m sure you will miss him greatly. How lucky you were to have a Dad/Grandfather as cool as Bob. There was always such joy, warmth and kindness in her disposition, whether we talked about knowledge management or life. I am so very sad about her passing. She was such an integral part of our Littler family, and we will miss her brilliance and beautiful presence so very much. My prayers are with everyone who is mourning her passing, especially her daughters and immediate family. I pray for strength and comfort every time we miss her.

I had the pleasure of knowing Karen while working IT for the Boston office and she has always been a wonderful person to me. It was great when I attended the Employer and Shareholder retreats and spoke with Karen about the good old times in Boston. She was so easy to talk to and we spoke at times for several minutes, (even though both of us had so much to do during these events). I am so saddened to hear about the passing of Karen. We were in the same graduating class at Duke, and grew up not too far from each other in New Jersey. Some younger students of the Hazel Boone Dance Studios were offering kind condolences to Holly Costa, the last director of the studio, when she posted about the passing of Elaine Richardson. Some of them only knew about her in the context of a eponymous prize given to a student each year at recital. To help fill in their understanding of how important Elaine Richardson was, I shared this: All dance studios used to have a live musician, if not multiple musicians, to provide the musical setting that is so important to dance. My mother, Sandra Philpott, held on to the tradition as long as she could, even when "hip hop" became popular because the ability to teach dance without having to fuss with technology was so liberating. It was almost like mom and Mrs. Richardson were telepathically connected as they started each class at the barre, moved on to center combinations, and then worked on routines. Mrs. Richardson would magically select music, adjust tempos, and provide just the right amount of accents and flourishes to make class fun at all levels. Preschoolers would get Nursery Songs, Ballet classes would get Chopin, advanced tap would get Gershwin. The transition to a record player with speed adjustment and later to CDs meant that mom had to spend teaching time finding the right music and getting it to sound right. Quick pauses for corrections that were so easy with a live pianist were quite difficult with "technology." The "History of Hazel Boone Dance Studios" book list over 25 pianists and a dozen orchestras/other musicians who played for rehearsals and recitals. Mrs. Richardson loved playing with a combo because it really brought a special depth and quality to the music and on-stage performances. But as many people have mentioned, it wasn't just music that Mrs. Richardson brought to The Hazel Boone Studios. She was so loved that after she retired, we named a special prize in her honor, and noted in the presentation: "The Elaine Richardson Prize was established in 1991 and is presented annually to the student who, 'has demonstrated the highest level of achievement and dedication to dance, while exhibiting the personal qualities of exemplary character, a positive attitude and a cooperative and helpful spirit. These qualities were respected and admired by Elaine Richardson, studio and performance pianist for over 35 years.'" Rest in peace, Dear Mrs. Richardson. Your memory lives on in all who knew and loved you!

When we started to go to Bob for our haircuts way back in 1981 when he opened his shop I learned pretty quickly what a great barber he was but more importantly a great and loyal man! When we had our children, all 4 went to Bob and Sue for their haircuts as well. Even when they moved out of state, Three of them would go back to Bob for their haircuts when they were back in town! I knew Irene from the Quincy methodist church craft fairs (about 10 years now), she always greeted me with a large "Hi". She always had a kind word to say. If I was having a bad day/wek at the fairs just seeing her made all the issues seem so small or just disappear. I will truly miss her.

When Bobby opened his shop I made an appointment. When I walked into the shop I said, “I’m here for my 3:00 appointment “. Bobby said are you Rich and I responded well I have a couple of bucks but wouldn’t consider myself Rich” whenever I saw him thereafter he always remind me of that story. Then I moved to Arizona for 22 years but never forgot that special memory. He is missed and we ALL lost a good friend., my thoughts and prayers are with his family. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Father Pete was a great man. He married me and my wife Valerie and baptized my four daughters Samantha, Antonia, Jacqueline and Barbara. I often saw father Pete at his nephew Peter Flanagan’s 4th of July gatherings. It was always a pleasure talking to father Peter. He will be missed but I know he is in a better place.

The first time your Dad cut my hair, I was 12 yrs old. He was working at Razors Edge at that time. On my next birthday, I will be 60 yrs old. He cut my hair up until Susie started working with him at Sqantum Cutters, then she took over. When I got married and had children of my own, Bob and Susie took care of them, along with my husband, who continued to go to Bob right up until a few weeks ago. At some point my Mom started going there as well as my sister and her family. I can not put into words what your Dad's friendship meant to me. I can honestly say Bob was the kindest, most gentle man I have ever known. I felt closer to him than I did some of my own relatives. To say I have been blessed to know him is an understatement. He will be forever in my heart. I extend our deepest condolences to the whole Ciulla family. Your Dad was a gift to all who knew him.

Rile embodied what it means to be a union carpenter. Always picked up the phone when I called and went out of his way to help me in any way he could. Sending my deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I went to high school at NCC with Rile for part of my junior and the full senior year. We were teammates on the basketball team. While I lost touch with Rile for many years, Facebook reconnected us and I know he enjoyed watching my son progress in sports. Rile was competitive, but kind. He was funny and an all-around good guy. I really enjoyed my time knowing Rile in high school and know that I truly missed an opportunity to know Rile after high school. However, I left Boston many years ago and am glad I connected with him when I could. I'm sure the community he supported through his love of sports and coaching, as well as his children and extended family will miss him and hold him in their hearts.

Lance was a tremendous coach and human - I played for him for years and was on his first head coaching job at LSC - he took 50 strangers and made us one - we won 5-straight and he helped take a program from obscurity to becoming a power house in WNY football for a decade - I got to know Lance threw football and life his concern for his students was on a much deeper level than just teacher -he actually cared about our development as humans - The world and I am a much better person because of him. As one of my role models he forged a successful adult out of child - My last occasion to see him in Angola was at restaurant a few years ago and he looked great and we briefly discussed life - as I had moved away and now reside in NH many years ago after a long military career -Lance was a friend, mentor and my time in his gym class with keep him forever young in my mind -we will all miss him- God bless him and his family - God had a purpose for this man.

Oh, I have just learned of Bob’s passing and it makes me so sad. Kathy, I am so sorry for your loss. First, I considered Bob a friend, not just my boss! He was always so concerned for the children of Weymouth and wanted the best for them. He respected his staff and made you feel as you were part of a team that was always working for the betterment of the Weymouth School System. I am so sorry that I was not able to attend the services. Kathy, Bob will always hold a special spot in my heart.

Uncle Joe. Wow, was I lucky! Blessed. He was a second father to me. I had the greatest fortune to grow up next door to him and his family. Some of my earliest childhood memories are centered around him. I remember being about 4 or 5 years old playing by myself in our back yard in Hull, which was adjacent to his home. All of a sudden, a monstrous black dog burst onto the scene rapidly approaching me barking as if rabid to where I was sure he was going to eat me. He was as tall as I was. After what seemed an eternity of waiting to be ripped to shreds, Uncle Joe appeared and scared the dog off. I just turned and ran into my house. Never even thanking him for his heroics and basically saving my life. Thank you Uncle Joe. Never better than late. As the years and time went by, I spent hours and hours following him around his home as he trimmed the bushes, fixed the porch, repaired doors and painted everything that didn't move. Even dropped in occasionally as he converted his basement to a summer home so he could rent the top two stories during the summer. Uncle Joe even played catch with me. And, when I overthrew his reach the ball smashed into a neighbor's door and shattered the glass. I was watching and learning when he replaced it. When I decided to plant a vegetable garden, I was flattered when he also decided to.plant a garden after seeing my success. He told me I had a secret advantage: mine was directly above the cesspool. My memories are filled with a lifetime of similar Uncle Joe signposts. He was always someone I wanted to be around. In later years, it was a treat to spend time with him. We especially enjoyed having breakfast together when we visited. Uncle Joe always had great stories of "I remember when . . ." Made me laugh and recall stories along with his laugh. Hearty and full. After reading Cheryl’s obituary, I am proud of having grown up with her, though not at all surprised at her many accomplishments. I am indeed saddened at the news that Ron has passed. I extend my prayers to Carol and the family. Not only tall in stature, but a true Renaissance Man, Ron was a guiding light for many of us both professionally and personally. His devotion to family was obvious and his love of learning was infectious. I learned much being at Ron's side during numerous engagements when Ron led and grew the most prominent healthcare law practice in New England. His sharp intellect was only matched by his caring approach to all that he touched. To know Ron was to realize that he excelled at everything. He was perhaps at his best as a strategist when things went sideways, and we had to find a new approach to solve problems. As a lawyer, Ron was of the group that would "find a way" to bring a client's wishes into a working model (not always easy to do). I will miss our discussions on Leadership which for him became a cause celeb as we discussed the challenges facing new generations. No better friend or colleague, knowing and working for many years with Ron Schram will forever remain one of the great blessings of my life.

Tom S.Kennedy Jr. was highly respected for his kindness, friendship, positive outlook, joy of living, caring for others and his Big Smile, that was as Bright as the Sun Flowers that he loved & grew in his gardens! My husband & I always had a good time when we were with him. He liked to visit with and enjoy friends, He enjoyed the peacefulness & beauty of Hidden Valley, the pond with clean, clear water, loons & herons & beautiful sunsets. Fri. nites group on the beach, when everyone brought food & desserts to share. He also enjoyed quiet times in his kayak as my husband & I did in ours. We went to different restaurants for fish & chips frequently with Tom & Barbara & played Hand & Foot Canasta often. On his 80th Birthday after going out for fish & chips, of course, we stopped at our house. I had made a Coconut Cream Pie, as I placed it in front of him, he blew out the candles, picked up the knife & cut it into 4 big pieces! Then he proceeded to drag his quarter onto the small dish and with his Big Smile, started to enjoy! He loved Ice cream & cookies! He often greeted me with a smile & quick kiss on the cheek. Tom was a friend to all who knew him! Our memories of Tom, we will keep in our hearts. Eedee

Dear Rick and Mary's extended family - I have just today learned that my beloved English professor has passed away, I had no idea all this time and I'm deeply saddened to learn this so late in the game. I always hoped I would bump into Mary whilst out shopping around Hingham or walking Nantasket beach but I never had the pleasure of seeing her again after I graduated UMass in 2004. I was one of the last group of her students before her retirement. She was a phenomenal professor and I must have taken about 5 of her courses during my English major and so she became a staple in my learning environment and I thoroughly enjoyed her wit, charm, humor, stories, and her guidance in helping me get through the tough days at college. Mary once told one of my classes of her time at Oxford when she met J. R. R Tolkien, and he had given her a letter which she said she lost or misplaced along the years and it was one of her biggest regrets that she did not keep it somewhere safe! She said "Imagine having a letter from Tolkien and losing it" - we were all speechless! Her experiences alone were enough to fill a classroom with laughter and enjoyment. I miss my days at Umass and certainly miss my time studying under Mary. May her soul rest peacefully and may I continue my education and grow as I know she wanted all her students to do gracefully. I was fortunate to serve at one time as a member of the Weymouth Youth Coalition which Bob (as Superintendent) chaired. His commitment to the community was obvious and admirable and he was a wonderfully genuine man. Our paths occasionally crossed in subsequent years and he was always quick with a smile and a story. I'm very sorry for the loss of a true gentleman and someone I considered a friend.

Charlie was my hero. In 1994, I was walking my dog and my two year old daughter when my dog went out about 20 yards on the ice at North Beach and fell into the freezing water. My dog was struggling to swim as there were huge ice chunks with water in between and my dog was going to drown. I asked Charlie( who was outside) to watch my daughter while I attempted to rescue my dog. Without hesitation, Charlie jumped into the freezing water , made it out to my dog and carried him to safety. I had never met Charlie but was overwhelmed with his selfless courage to help me, my dog and my daughter. He was an amazing man and I will always be thankful to him. I was sad when he moved away from the neighborhood. Rest in Peace Charlie

The Archbishop Williams community is heartbroken with the shocking news of Brenda's sudden passing, and sends its heartfelt condolences to Jason and their family. All Catholic schools necessarily rely on parent volunteerism, and for the six years Jason was a student with us (Grades 7-12) Brenda was a constant and cheerful presence. No matter the event, no matter the task, without exception she answered the call with enthusiasm. For the last few years she was a leader of our Parent Support Board and could not have been better to work with. Her exemplary, selfless service was based on her boundless love for Jason, her commitment to her faith, and her dedication to and appreciation for AWHS. I am so sorry to hear of John’s passing. His brothers will remember me from Humarock. So many wonderful memories involve the whole Perfetti family. Not many of the 4th cliff gang left, except in my heart.

Bernie was a dear friend to me and my husband. We shared many interests like books, theater, community activities, kayaking and golfing - and also martinis. She amazed us with her vibrancy, openness, accomplishments and knowledge. She left an enduring legacy with her work for women and children. We'll always remember Bernie.

I first met Bobby in 2003 when I joined the Boston Minstrels. He was one who maid me feel very comfortable in a new environment. He was always upbeat and making jokes and easy to hang out with. As years went by he only came to the annual fundraiser, but always with his camera and a smile. My condolences to his family and friends.

Many years have passed since I lived in Marshfield Hills where I would see Bob with Otis very often greeting people with warm hugs and a big genuine smile. But, I remember him like it was yesterday, and can still hear his cheery voice. He was kind with a generous spirit that he lavished on everyone. Tribute to My Mom Mom’s passing feels as though a cloak of sadness has been placed upon my shoulders and though there is nothing that alters the hurtful truth of mortality, there is comfort in knowing that countering my grief will be Mom’s utter bliss as she enters the realm of Heaven. As she approaches Paradise, trumpets will blare, angels will sing but, it is a loud, familiar resonance echoing through this musical cacophony that brings forth her beaming smile…along with raised eyebrows…for these deep sounds are emanating from the voice of her beloved husband barking at Saint Peter that he’s moving “slow as molasses” in getting the pearly gates open. Dad’s beautiful wife is speedily approaching and he is so excited. When she lightly touches down he’ll lay bunches of roses on her open arms and with his heart pounding and tears of joy streaming down his cheeks, he’ll look into her eyes and tell her how much he’s missed her; how his heart has ached without her and that he loves her. Their embrace will be tight and wonderful and long but, approaching sounds will interrupt their moment of rapture. Sweeping towards them…towards her…she’ll recognize the dear, treasured faces that have been visible only to her mind’s eye for too long…Spencer, Johnny, Margo, Pat, Anne, Chick, Aga, Da, Helen, Kathy, Edward, Donald, Ronnie, Phil, Sebastian, Sylvia and others, each of whom occupies a special place in Mom’s tender heart. (Sorry to report: Uncle Frank tried to attend but was nabbed and cast out when his attempt to sneak past the Kingdom’s angelic sentries failed…again). Hugging and laughter will permeate their heavenly space with each gaining Mom’s attention - letting her know how thrilled they are to see her and the excitement they feel knowing they’ll all exist forever in the Kingdom of God. Mom is an eternal fountain of all that’s good - where her gentleness, love, generosity, kindness, and much more cascade with abundance onto every being she meets with each realizing quickly, the happiness…the goodness she bestows on everyone and everything. If there’s a Hall of Fame in Heaven with a panel of Saints selecting the finest of all its wonderful souls, Mom will be unquestionably, a unanimous, first-ballot selection. Tom Brady, as great as he is, won’t hold a candle to Mom in Heaven’s Arena. So, as I sit here writing, teary-eyed and filled with sorrow, I realize that this emotion is a minor consolation for my fortune and appreciation to God for blessing me with the greatest Mom a son could ever pray for. I got to know Bob over the years playing in the Thursday night old timers hockey in Hingham and many Boston State/ Umass reunions. Bob always had a smile and was a pleasure to be around. I was blessed to have the opportunity to play in the Hockey Alumni Golf Tournament this past October with Bob. He kept me laughing throughout the day even though he was having physical difficulties. Bob is now playing on the big rink in the sky! Coach Barry most likely met him at the gate! RIP Bob

I haven’t seen Bob often during the last few years, but I remember him well from another historical era. Those memories would always bring a smile. However, at the times, I have seen Bob during our senior years, I would leave thinking that Bob was a guy who was making a positive contribution to society and enjoying life. One of God’s great gifts is spending time with our Boston State/UMB family, especially because of men like Bob Walker. To be around his smile, laughter and wit, is one of life’s treasures no one can replace. Bob’s unique perspective, and great sense of humor, seeing things as only he would. There was something very special about spending time with him. On our last round of golf together in October he did not quit or complain no matter how physically difficult and challenging it was for him. We will not find anyone more loyal and truly great friends as Bob Walker. Our hearts rejoice for knowing him and are saddened by his passing. Bob, you will be truly missed. I was so very sorry to read of Jim's passing.I haven.t seen him in years but he was so helpful to Jim and I when we were putting the addition on the house in the 70's and gave us great advice when we put in the pool . He was a great guy and you have my deepest sympathy .

I knew Sandy for many years working with her at the Internal Revenue Service in the account division, and as an office auditor. You could not have worked with a more knowledgable person. Rest in Paradise! You were always a bright spot in everyone’s life! I loved hearing about and meeting your girls at Marshalls! Yes, you exuded love and that fantastic smile for everyone. What a large, lucky family to have you! I know you will forever be in their hearts!

Jean was a wonderful person, a great talent with a paintbrush, and the mother of four great kids. It was always a treat to visit the big house in Hingham for parties, and to visit the Bare Cove Gallery where Jean and her artistic partners displayed their work; and later to visit Jean and Jess in their Beacon Hill home across from the Public Garden. The Cain kids and grandkids will have lots of sweet memories. My love and heartfelt condolences.

I got a call from an old colleague about this very sad news. I, sadly, have not seen Dan for many years. We were colleagues at P.B.B.H, and later B.W.H. There was no one remotely like Dan. Super intelligent, thoughtful, caring, and willing to help anyone at anytime. If something needed fixing, I would always go to him first. He once told me he read National Geographic from cover to cover every month. So, even now, many years later, I think of him when my NG arrives in the mail. Rest in Peace you incredibly talented man.

Bernie was my friend, confidant and teacher of life lessons from the first day I met her at Asolo Rep Theatre in Sarasota,Florida. She was a member of the Guild and Playreaders group. I admire her many accomplishments-PHD, home on the vineyard, property in Sarasota and Boston, single woman securing her own future and security, seemed to meet someone new everyday, generous and religious. She convinced me to attend St.Martha’s 10:30 mass to enjoy the chorus made up of visiting Sarasota opera singers. She brought many gifts into my life. It’s wonderful to know she is happy now surrounded by her loved ones. Thank you Bernie and RIP.
