William Richard Schultz
Schultz, William Richard of Quincy, died at home October 15, 2021 after a year-long battle with cancer. His loving daughter, Leanne, and grandsons Nicholas and Zachary were at his side.
Bill was a retired police officer for the Quincy Police Department and had served in the US Air Force. Bill loved the beach and spent many hours exercising along Wollaston Beach and meeting friends at the Marina Bay for coffee.
He often mixed both beer and sports with friends at the Hancock Tavern. Bill was a complicated guy with a dry wit and an opinion on everything, he will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Leanne Schultz and husband Patrick O’Brien of Halifax, his brother Roger and wife Elizabeth of Quincy and sister Jessica Niehoff of San Diego, Ca. His grandsons Nicholas and Zachary O’Brien will sorely miss their “Hampy” as will his nephews, Richard, Paul and Timothy Schultz. Predeceased by ex wife Ruth Stocks .
