William G. Carey

Carey, William G. “Billy” of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died peacefully, at his parents home after a courageous battle with cancer, on February 4, 2016.

Billy, above all else adored his daughters Meghan and Isabella, as well as his entire family.  He was always interested in other people and could carry a conversation with all age groups.  He was particularly interested in current events, was a frequent caller and listener of talk radio, and had a thirst for knowledge.  Billy will be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit, and extremely proud of his Dorchester upbringing. 

Beloved father of Meghan and Isabella.  Cherished son of John Carey and M. Isabel (MacQuarrie) Carey of Hyannis, formerly of Dorchester.  Loving brother of Jay and his wife Maureen of Quincy, Paul and his wife Denise of Weymouth, Bob and his wife Judith of Milton, and Eddie and his wife Kyren of Brighton.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, a grand niece, and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM.  Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
