William E. Varroso

William E Varroso, 66, of Weymouth, passed away on April 30, 2016 after a long illness.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen Cronin-Varroso, his father, retired Braintree Police officer William Varroso of Braintree, siblings Elizabeth Flanagan of Braintree, Michael Varroso of Brockton, Robert Varroso and his wife, Linda, of Weymouth and Edward Varroso of Braintree. He was predeceased by his mother Edith Lordi Varroso.

He is also survived by in-laws Stephen and Karen Cronin of Rockland, Paula and Fred Beasley of Hilton Head, SC, Mary Fitzgerald of Braintree and Lisa and Tim Smith of Scituate.  He will also be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.  

A 1967 graduate of Archbishop Williams High School, Bill was inducted into the Archbishop Williams Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014 for excellence in cross country running. He attended Boston State College and was also a 7th degree black belt in karate.

Bill will be remembered as a brave, generous, gentle man and dog lover, especially Kathy and Bill’s Jerry. 

Kathy and family would like to gratefully acknowledge the professional and loving care provided in his last days by the staff of the Pat Roche Hospice House. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
