Roche, Wilbert J. of Weymouth, formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family,  May 20, 2015.

Beloved husband of 30 years of Sandra (Matthews) Roche of Weymouth.  Loving father of Benjamin Matthews of Mansfield and his adopted daughter, Amy Fiske of Weymouth. Cherished grandfather of Ryan Matthews of Weymouth and Dakota Rose Matthews of Mansfield.  Great-grandfather of Savanna Marie Matthews.  Loving brother of Dominic Roche of Abington, Dorothy Ciampoli of Dorchester and the late John Roche, Mary Markwood and Constance Furlong.  Wilbert is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

A Newfoundland, Canada native, Wilbert worked for many years as a roofer. He enjoyed playing the card game of WIST and especially loved spending time with his family.  His favorite past time was sitting on the bench at Wessagusset Beach watching the ships pass by while enjoying a Dunkin Donuts coffee with his jellystick.

Wilbert was a dear friend of Bill W. and celebrated 22 years of sobriety in AA.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
