Walter W. Pecevich of Quincy, passed away on February 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

The beloved husband of 56 years to Mary “Terry” (Comer) Pecevich of Quincy. Loving father of Susan O’Connor and her husband Desmond, Stephen Pecevich and Carolyn Pecevich all of Quincy and Paula Pecevich of Braintree. Son of the late William and Anna (Astukevich) Pecevich. Brother of the late Clara Larson, Jane Hajdamowicz and Nina Amelin. Cherished grandfather of Catherine, Eileen, Tari, Mia, Sydni, and Tristin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A proud United States Army Korean War Veteran.  Walter worked for the MBTA as a bus driver for 23 years. He was a member of the North Quincy Knights of Columbus as well as the Morrisette American Legion Post #294. Walter enjoyed traveling to Aruba with his family each October for the past 31 years.  He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Walter may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, North Quincy, MA 02171 or to Quincy Catholic Academy, 370 Hancock Street, North Quincy, MA 02171.
