Tracey Nelson

Nelson, Tracey of Weymouth, passed away unexpectly on May 2, 2024. She was 57.

Tracey’s career was marked by her time at 99 Restaurant in Rockland and Niko’s in Weymouth, where she wasn’t just an employee but a friend to many. Her regular customers became an extended family, drawn in by her infectious love for people and her genuine care.

Her passions painted the picture of a life lived with joy and enthusiasm. Tracey was a beacon of light at the beach, with Nantasket Beach holding a special place in her heart. Summers were a time for family and laughter, with New Hampshire providing the perfect backdrop for unforgettable memories. Tracey was the epitome of a social butterfly, a people person through and through, whose presence could light up any room. Gardening was a quiet reprieve for Tracey, where she found peace among the flowers and plants she so lovingly nurtured. A true Bostonian, she was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed going to NASCAR races. Tracey also loved sitting out on the back deck and playing fetch with her grand pups; Luna, Rhea and Jasper.

Describing Tracey is to speak of love, passion, and friendliness – words that only begin to capture her essence. Her loving nature was her hallmark, her passion for life was evident in all she did, and her friendly demeanor ensured no one was a stranger for long. Tracey Nelson’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Loving longtime partner to Guy Legere. Cherished mother to Heather Legere and her partner Dalton Smith of Weymouth, Jenna Legere and her partner Scott MacFee of Weymouth, Renee Legere of Maynard, and Elise Legere of Weymouth. Treasured grandmother to Zachary Lyons, Thomas MacFee, and Jacob MacFee. Beloved daughter to Doris and Michael Wallace, and the late Leonard Nelson. Dear sister to Kenny Nelson and his wife Susan of Halifax, Sandra Nelson of Weymouth, and Sean Wallace and his wife Katie of Hanover. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life party will be held at the Weymouth Eagles on Sunday, May 19th from 1pm-5pm. All are welcome to come to remember Tracey.
