Thomas E. Wooten

Thomas Edward Wooten of Belmont, NH (formerly of Weymouth, MA) passed away after a tragic accident on July 21, 2016.

Beloved husband of Allison (Flipp), loving father of David of Edwards, CO and Samantha of Tilton, NH. Devoted grandpa to Grace Andrews. Beloved son of Helen (Shea) Wooten and the late George Wooten. Brother to James (Sharon) of Amherst; Jean McDougald (James) of North Augusta, SC; John (Virginia Lawless) of Tolland, CT; Anne Leonard (Robert) of Middleboro; Joan Hunter (Edward Callahan) of Weymouth; Paul Wooten (Nancy McCue) of Center Harbor, NH; Donna Harrington (Richard) of Kingston; and Stephen (Tracy Lomax) of Eugene, OR. Much loved son-in-law of Carl and Connie Flipp of Weymouth and the extended Flipp family. A cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Tom loved the great outdoors – fishing, hunting and camping; lakes, meadows and woods – and, most of all, his family and friends. He will be remembered fondly for his beautiful smile, his quick and dry wit, and his gentle spirit. He worked and played hard. Genuine and generous, the life he built with Allison was a masterpiece and serves as a model to many. Tom attended public schools in Weymouth and graduated from Norfolk County Agricultural School. He was a dedicated employee of the Northfield Department of Public Works and formerly of Leighton’s Catering and Hanabury & Sons in Weymouth.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
