Steven John “Steve” Weber

Steven John Weber, of Cohasset died peacefully with his wife by his side, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. He was 67 years old.

Steve, was born in Hartford, CT January 10th 1956 and had a modest upbringing in the town of Newington, CT. Steve graduated Newington High as a hardworking and fiercely competitive student athlete, however the school had a far greater significance in his life as the place he would meet his high-school sweetheart, future wife, and lifelong soulmate, Sharon.

After graduating from Arizona State University, Steve married Sharon in 1979 and moved back to New England. He quickly became a promising talent at one of the world’s largest construction firms while he and Sharon started a young family with a boy and girl. Steve left Turner Construction in 1985 to join John Moriarty & Associates, at the time, a small but aspiring firm out of Winchester, MA.

As a master builder that welcomed the company’s most ambitious projects, Steve helped Moriarty develop into one of the largest and well-respected construction firms on the eastern seaboard. Steve retired in 2019 after 35 years as a partner and Head of Operations, with a decorated resume as project lead from monumental skyscrapers to museums designed by world renowned architects including the Museum of Fine Art in Boston and the Perez Art Museum in Miami.

Steve’s intelligence, humility, and poise made him admired by all those in the construction industry. But above all, it will be Steve’s kindness and dry wit that will be remembered fondly by anyone who knew him.

Even more impressive than any of his career accomplishments, Steve was a caring and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. There was nothing in the world important enough to sacrifice a Little League game or chance to rake leaves in the yard with his grandchildren. He was loved and admired by his family that now mourn the loss of one of its beloved members.

Steve will be remembered by his wife Sharon Hoyle Weber of Cohasset, his son and daughter in-law Kyle and Kate Weber of Marshfield, his daughter and son in-law Gillian and TJ Dahill of Cohasset, and his grandchildren Thomas Dahill, Gregory Dahill, Anna Dahill, Oliver Weber, and Charles Weber.

The family welcomes all to celebrate Steve’s life at the Cohasset Lightkeeper’s House, 15 Lighthouse Lane, Cohasset, MA 02025 on April 27th 2023 5pm-8pm.
