Sean M.O’Donnell

Sean M. O’Donnell, of Hanson, formerly of Braintree, passed away suddenly on March 20th, 2024.

Sean graduated from Archbishop Williams in 1991 and Stonehill College in 1995.

From a young age, he had a deep passion for computers that would shape the course of his life. He most recently worked as Chief Information Officer in the medical technology field. He dedicated numerous years advancing his career at Shields Health Care, starting as an intern while attending Stonehill.

But his love for computers was only matched by his love for travel. He traveled across the globe from cruising the high seas to exploring ancient ruins in Egypt, Turkey, Russia and Greece. He made it a point to visit every major city to watch his beloved Red Sox and Patriots play, if he wasn’t spending Sunday afternoon watching the game with his father.

Among his favorite destinations were the bright lights of Las Vegas. But perhaps his most cherished trips were the ones he took to Ireland, where he would spend time with family, sharing stories and creating lifelong memories.

He was a superhero uncle to Lewie, Ryan, Colin, Ciara, and Caitlin, always spoiling them with trips to the movies, ice cream outings, and arcade adventures. Sean had a magical touch when it came to giving the best Christmas and birthday presents to his beloved nieces and nephews.

Beloved son of Bartley and Mary (Naughton) O’Donnell of Braintree

Loving brother of Theresa McConkey and her husband, Lew of Whitman, and Patricia Wood and her husband, Michael, of Quincy. Best Uncle to Lewie, Ryan, Colin, Ciara, and Caitlin. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins both in the USA and Ireland.
