Porter, Ruth B. (Andrews) of Quincy, Age 94, died February 9, 2017.  

Loving daughter of the late Langdon F. Sr. and Carolyn S. (Baker) Andrews. Beloved wife of the late Ralph C. Porter. Cherished sister of Wilma Carol (Andrews) Cavanaugh and her husband James of Hingham, Beverly (Andrews) LaPointe and her husband Richard of Brunswick, ME, Paul Andrews and his wife Janet of Warren, ME, and the late Langdon F. Andrews Jr. and his wife Dorothy and Albert L. Andrews and his wife Joanne. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. 

Longtime resident of Wollaston, until recently lived at home and in the same house for 65 years.  A graduate of Fryeburg Academy and Lesley College, worked as a buyer for Sigma Instruments in Braintree, MA for 37 years until retirement.  Loved dancing, good conversation, making pies and rolls for holidays, and looking out on Wollaston Beach and Quincy Bay.  Loved being from Maine and returning to Lake Kezar in Stow, ME each summer.  She was kind to all, a good friend and a treasured family member.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 9:30-10:30 AM at Christ Church, Quincy followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruth may be made to Christ Church, 12 Quincy Ave., Quincy, MA 02169.
