Ronald G. Leary, age 81, died July 4, 2018 at home.

He was a retired employee of The Boston Edison Company, and long time member of Local 369. Following his long-term employment with Edison, Mr. Leary was employed by the Gavin Foundation of South Boston. Born in Brookline and raised in Mission Hill, he was a graduate of Mission High School and Northeastern University.  An athlete in his youth, and an avid sports fan Mr. Leary thoroughly enjoyed watching his grandchildren in sports activities.

Beloved husband of Maureen P. Leary. Loving father of Jeanne Maher and husband Michael, Janice Bragg and husband Stephen, Ronald Leary and wife Lisa and Andrea Fontana and husband Neal. Brother of Jane Concannon of VA, and the late Jerilyn Tribbey and Ann Ballard. Cherished “Papa” of Maureen, John, Jessica, Ryan, Brittany, James, Allie, Alyssa, Courtney, Tori, Cole, Jack, Brady; and his great grandchildren Avery, Elliott, Finn, Noah, Jaxon, and Isla.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations maybe made to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservior Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370-1055.
