Robert T. “Bob” Connolly, of Weymouth, formerly of Dorchester and Roxbury, passed away on July 4, 2016. His passing was peaceful, and he was surrounded by family.
Born in Roxbury, Bob was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School, and worked as a pressman, employed by various printing companies in and around the Boston area, for over 40 years. An avid golfer, Bob was a member at the Cedar Hill Golf Course in Stoughton. He was a loyal Boston sports fan, particularly of the Red Sox and the Patriots.
Bob was the beloved husband of 59 years to the late Mary E. “Dolly” (Breslin) Connolly. Loving father of Diane Johnston and her husband Kurt of Palm Springs, CA, Patricia Bauer of Interlaken, NY, Mary Tose and her husband Jonathan of Weymouth, David Connolly of Boston and the late Robert T. Connolly, Jr., MD of New York City. Cherished “Grandpa” to Jennifer Tose, Kimberly Anderson and her husband Matthew, Stephanie Tose, and Richard Bauer. “Beepa” to his great grandson, Matthew Anderson, Jr.
Bob’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Rose Court in Linden Ponds for all their love and compassion in caring for their dad over the years.
At the request of the family, all services were private.
