Robert S. Kinsherf Jr.

KINSHERF, Robert S., Jr. of Braintree, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday November 11, 2018, he was 80.  

Born in Boston, he was a son of the late Robert S. and Catherine (Grafton) Kinsherf.  Robert served in the United States Marine Corps., and was an Iron Worker for Local #7, Boston.  He enjoyed traveling, and was a long time organizer for the Iron Workers float in the South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Robert was the devoted father of Sheila Schmidt and her husband Walter of Melbourne FL, Robert S. Kinsherf III of Hull, and Susan Conroy and her longtime companion John Houlihan of Holbrook.  Proud grandfather of Danielle Conroy and her fiancee Phillip Ollivierre, David Hoeft, Stephen Shattuck, Elizabeth Schmidt, and great-grandfather of Laura Marie Ollivierre.  He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Laura Ann Hoeft.  He was the brother of Carol Kinsherf of Boston, James Kinsherf of Braintree, and the late John Kinsherf. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Family and friends will gather in the funeral home beginning at 9:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Robert may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133.
