Robert Pinto

Pinto, Robert “Bob” of Quincy, died July 22, 2016.  

Bob proudly served his country in the US Army and Marine Corps as a jet mechanic. He retired from the United States Postal Service, working in New Haven, West Haven, and Wallingford, CT. Bob adored his time with family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed the various family gatherings with his brothers and sisters. He was an avid Red Sox fan and never missed a game, no matter when they were playing. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending every winter at their house in the Cape Verde Islands, as well as other family vacations over the years. Bob was a reserved and strong willed man with high morals and faith. He was a man of few words and big smiles who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Son of the late Edwin and Virginia Pinto. Beloved husband of Maria de Fatima (Figueiredo) Pinto of Quincy. Loving father of Paul Pinto of Quincy and Melissa Pinto-Vera of Marlboro. Cherished brother of Phyllis Fernandes of Carver, David Pinto (Ret. ARNG) of New Bedford, Shirley Gomes of New Bedford, and the late James Pinto. Doting grandpa of Alyana, Yasmine, and Izabella. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private.
