Wilson, Robert J. “Bob” of Quincy formerly of South Boston died unexpectedly on February 9, 2016. The beloved fiancee of Hazel Carras of Quincy. Brother of Eleanor Medonis of Marshfield and the late Mildred Baker. Uncle of Paul Baker of Medfield, Kerrie Studley of Plymouth, Patricia Pagel of Holbrook, Linda Hayner of Marshfield and the late Joyce Albanese. Stepfather of Louise Burns of Ohio, Barbara Robbins and Louis Swank both of Quincy, Christina Bythrow of Braintree and the late Bill Carras. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Bob was born and raised in South Boston. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had a strong work ethic and worked as a driver for the United States Postal service for many years retiring back in 1999. Bob enjoyed traveling and trying new restaurants. He found great pleasure in the simple things in life. What made him the happiest was being around those he loved. They were the foundation of all that was important to him. He will be remembered as a gentleman with a great heart who cherished his family. He will be sadly missed. Friend of Bill W.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 9:15 prior to the  Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. John’s Church, Quincy.

Cremation will follow.
