Robert H. Breen

Breen, Robert H. “Bob” of Hull, formerly of Quincy Point, died November 30, 2015. 

Bob grew up and lived in Quincy Point where he worked the shores as a clam digger. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy during WWII. Bob worked as a steam engineer for Braintree Electric Light for many years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family and showing them the ins and outs of boating, which he loved. Bob was an active member of the Town River Yacht Club for 74 years and was known to many as “Blue”. In the early 90’s, he moved to Hull. He was a very talented, artistic, and mechanically inclined man who always loved a challenge with any kind of project and will be remembered for his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Beloved husband of 67 years to Marie (Sweeney) Breen. Devoted father of Robert Breen of Hull, Karen Scanlan of Pembroke, William Breen and his wife Cindy of Roslindale, Jean Carroll and her husband Paul of Bridgewater, Kevin Breen and his wife Karen of Hull, and Steven Breen of Hull. Predeceased by siblings Eleanor Sivert and Arthur Breen. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
