Keohane Funeral Home

Robert E. Maginnis of Weymouth, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on June 6, 2023. He was 84 years old.

Born in Boston to the late Phillip and Ruth Maginnis. Shortly after graduating high school Bob was drafted into the Army. He went on to work many years for Gillette in South Boston. He was a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots and also enjoyed fishing and bowling. Bob also loved traveling with his wife to destinations in New England and Canada.

Beloved husband of 53 years to Beverly Maginnis (MacDonald) of Weymouth. Loving brother of Phyllis O’Leary of Quincy and the late Lorraine Dacey and Barbara Luce. Cherished brother in-law of Thomas MacDonald and his late wife Patricia of Rockland, sister in-law Barbara McDonald and her late husband Richard of Weymouth. Bob will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow in Village Cemetery, Weymouth.
