Robert C. Scales of Braintree, passed away on April 21, 2018.

The beloved husband of the late Doris E. “Elaine” (Hayes) Scales. Loving father of Jeanne Gilbert and her husband Michael of York,ME,  Robert Scales of Quincy and Kevin Scales of Weymouth. Brother of Marilyn Hirtle of Halifax, Lawrence Scales of Holbrook and the late Frank Scales, Elizabeth Brennan and Janet Keyo. Cherished grandpa of Cameron Gilbert and Grace Stamatakis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Robert was raised in Milton and graduated from Milton High School. He served in the United States Army. Robert worked as a central office technician supervisor for New England Telephone and retired after 35 years. He enjoyed being by the ocean,  following New England sports teams, yard work, reading and just working around his home.  He will be remembered as a quiet gentleman, who was devoted to his family. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday April 27 from  9-11am in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Robert may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
