Richard J. Carr, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, formerly of Quincy, MA died June 3, 2022.

Beloved brother of Ruth Ann (Carr) Dedian, of Hingham, MA. and Thomas F. Carr, of Milton, MA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and his good friends Robert D’Amato and Gary Harper, of Jupiter, FL.

Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ruth (Wall) Carr,  Lorraine and Robert Larson, Paul Carr, Elizabeth Carr and Lawrence Dedian.

Richard graduated for Don Bosco Technical High School and joined the religious community of St. John of God, where he attended Mt. Ida College. He went on to a nursing career in Ojai California. Returning to Boston, Richard worked at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary for 38 years. He spent his retirement years in Tequesta and Palm Beach Gardens , Florida.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday 8:30-9:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Old Calvary Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Richard’s name to the Brothers of St. John of God, Provincial Office, Saint John of God, 2468 S. St Andrews PL, Los Angeles, CA 90018.
