Regina M. McMahon

McMahon, Regina M. of Quincy, died December 28, 2016.  

Regina was born in November 1929 and lived in her family’s home in Wollaston until moving to Marion Manor in South Boston in 2014. She graduated from Woodward School for Girls in Quincy and then Fisher Junior College in Boston. She worked for many years as a medical secretary for Dr. Emmanuel Deutsch in Boston and at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester. Regina was a lifetime parishioner of St. Ann’s Church and volunteered at the parish with the CCD and CYO programs. She also sang in the choir at the church for many years. She enjoyed skiing, knitting, spending time with her family and friends, taking slides and photos to share with her family, and baking Toll House cookies. Regina enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad. She was also a history buff and liked showing historical sites to her nieces and nephews. Regina will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Daughter of the late William J. and Gertrude C. (MacSwain) McMahon. Predeceased by her siblings Lucile Batchelder, William E. McMahon, Arthur McMahon, Ruth Caronia-Biche, Leonard McMahon, Richard McMahon and her niece Kathleen Mormino. Survived by her brother Rev. Albert McMahon, OFM, of Catskill, NY and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, and great-great nieces/nephews, and friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
